Tui Na Massage
Tui Na Massage involves the physical manipulation of soft tissues (muscle, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments), to achieve two major effects.
First, it increases the blood and lymph circulation. This basically pushes the old, damaged cells out and brings fresh, new cells in. Increased circulation can significantly speed healing to an area that has been injured.
Second, it can cause the relaxation and normalization of the soft tissues which releases nerves and deeper connective tissues. What happens here is that the tightened soft tissues squeeze on vessels and nerves which in turn causes the pain associated with injury. Once those tissues are relaxed the vessels and nerves are freed, relieving the pain.

What to expect...
Massage treatments last for 60 minutes.
On your first visit I will do a postural analysis and observe the structure of your muscles and skeleton. This, along with your intake, will give me a good understanding of any musculoskeletal imbalances.
Massage involves a wide range of techniques but you should never feel sharp or severe pain during your treatment. I use a combination of deep and light work to achieve the desired effects.
Most of all, you will experience an overall feeling of relaxation along with a reduction of your muscular tension and tightness. This is the most important aspect of massage therapy and allows your tissues a chance to heal.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deeper massage techniques can greatly reduce recovery time from sports related injuries.
